In September 2017 I was invited to join a group of friends who had won the opportunity to drive the entire length of the road through Denali National Park. The road stretches 90.5 miles in each direction and is restricted to tour buses for the entire summer. In the fall only a lucky handful of people get the privilege to drive the road in their personal vehicles. The weather, which had been terrible for most of the week, suddenly cleared and we found ourselves beholding the majesty of the Alaska range as I have never seen it before. It was a photographer's dream!
