FIREWEED MORNING

NOME, ALASKA

BY ROBERT ARRINGTON

A field of fireweed blooms in the midnight sun in Alaska's far north. Fireweed gets its name because it is the first new life that grows after a forest fire. Fireweed symbolizes new beginnings and inspires us to be strong and hopeful during difficult times.
